This is hugely important for people to read, and to understand - personal branding and personal SEO is going to be a responsibility all of us have as the web becomes more and more important. Gmail finally leaves beta, but lets you opt back into beta if it makes you feel better

Leave it to Google to have sense of humor. For years people have been wondering when they'd bring Gmail out of beta. Finally today Google announced that Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Docs, and Talk are all coming out of beta at once (with no new features at the moment). But in acknowledgement that Gmail is now widely considered the product that would "always be beta, no matter how big it got", Gmail is throwing us a bone: if it makes you feel better, you can pop into Google labs and re-activate the "Back to Beta" option, which gives you a Gmail Beta logo for comfort.
